Most of us rule the world with our smartphones, from emails and texting to endless selfies on snapchat and constant video taking that wouldn’t look out of place on a filmset never mind the apps for everything from shopping, booking accommodation or travel arrangements, hailing down a taxi, facebook, games and oh that thing it was meant for – making phone calls, we find ourselves dwindling on about 3% by midday and unless you are randomly sticking the plug into every socket in sight you will need to have yourself some sort of power bank to keep you juiced up all day. There is nothing worse than streaming videos on youtube, checking out friends overnight status on facebook and doing that quick bit of internet shopping (yes you totally needed that new bag or shoes) on your commute to work or out and about for the day when you realise to your horror that your lifeline to the world is dramatically diminishing by the second.
I have tried a few of the standard lipstick sized power banks that frequently pop up on the various shopping sites on offer but they don’t quite fit the bill for what I require. I would charge it and throw it in my handbag for a few days and when it was needed, to my dismay it had lost its charge and of no use to me whatsoever. Sometimes it even had the nerve to start reducing my battery life even more when charging (how rude!) That’s when I decided I needed to find something a little bit more durable and up to the challenge of always keeping me wired to life and to help keep the little ones ipad charged up. World Ward III would break out should the latest episodes of Peppa Pig or Cbeebies channel not be accessible in times of a crisis (translation quick trip to Tescos for a few necessities).
After looking at various styles and sizes on Amazon for a few days I settled on the EasyAcc PB10000C which comes in quite a variety of colours. Measuring 13.3 x 7.1 x 1.6cm and 240g in weight its not going to take up a lot of room in the average bag. 
You can see from the photo it is a little smaller than my iPhone 6 plus. It usually retails for in and around £14.99 (usual price stated as £69.99) so great saving there. When I got it I left it to charge overnight even though its charge indicator showed a full charge. There are two USB outputs which allows you to charge two devices simultaneously. It comes with a small USB lead to charge the device itself which you can just plug into either your computer or a plug that has a detachable USB lead.
The first time I used the power bank my iPhone was at 9% battery life. It took 63 minutes to charge it to 100% again. The charger then stayed in my bag until I used it a week later and to my surprise it charged my phone up again and still had life in it. In total I was able to charge my phone 5 times before I needed to recharge the powerbank. I was really impressed with how it held the charge for over 3 weeks in my bag and still was able to perform. I have since used it to charge the ipad up a bit and it took 2 hrs 39 mins to get me to 50% from it being switched off which was enough to keep it going until I got home.
Overall this is a brilliant wee portable powerbank that really does pack the punch for such a cheap price that will keep most people juiced up on their daily adventures.
