For those of you following me over on Snapchat (username is fairymoonbeam for anyone who would like to add me!) this week you would have seen me doing swatches and first impressions of this gorgeous palette by Tarte Cosmetics.
So what is it? The tarteist PRO Glow Palette is a highlighting and contouring kit which includes four highlighters, one cream contour and one powder. It is loved by so many of the American beauty and makeup bloggers so I was very excited for it to arrive and needless to say I am like a kid in a candy shop with makeup and beauty products and this didn’t disappoint. It arrived very well packaged and I have to say their packaging is beautiful.
The palette is a perfect size for your makeup bag (not to big and not to small) it also has two handy mirrors on either side of the palette. The magnetic closure is very strong which I love as it means it will not open when travelling and not break the powder. It really does stay shut even when shaking it around. If you are anything like me and a bit clumsy the magnetic closure is fab as it means if I do accidentally drop the palette it won’t open up easily and break.
The four highlighters are called lit (which is a champagne highlighter), strobe (which is a pearl white gold highlight), fire (bronze highlight) and stunner (opalescent silvery highlight).
My favourite so far has to be stunner and the highlight from not just this colour but all of them are so spectacular you will see that highlight from space! The shimmer and reflection of them are just incredible. It is hard to capture in photos just how impressive they are. You will be glowing no matter which shade you wear.
What I love about the pigment is that it is not chunky it literally glides on the skin so smoothly and leaves the illusion of dewy skin. They each give an almost metallic finish rather than a glittery one which is so much more natural on your skin. I even have been wearing fire on my eyelids as an alternative to shadow which you can see below.
The contour cream blends really well and the powder contour creates a beautiful finish over the top.
The only complaint I would have with this palette is the packaging, Even though it is presented in a beautiful black and gold, it is the velvet rubbery material that gets dirty very quickly, it is very hard to keep clean. But unless you have to have all your makeup pristine clean then this isn’t really an issue.
I highly recommend the Tarteist Pro Glow palette if you are looking for an amazing highlight that is good for your skin and of fantastic quality.
