The Titanic Exhibition Centre, Belfast once again opened it’s doors to the Wedding Journal Show and it was undeniably a fantastic day out for any prospective couples getting married.
The sheer number of exhibitors in attendance was unbelievable, catering for literally every single aspect of your wedding. From cars, to stationery, to music and entertainment, quirky and unique attractions, teepees, selfie mirrors, mobile bars, sweet and ice cream carts, right down to of course the perfect dress, meant this really was an incredible one stop shop whatever your wishes and desires may be.
I have been to a few of these exhibitions now, but each every time it exceeds my expectations and there is always something exciting and new to see and I’m not even getting married!
If you have never been to a Wedding Show before, picture the most extravagant luxury wedding scene in a movie with lots of flowers, bows, sparkly and pretty things, every vendor dressed to their Sunday best, gorgeous models swanning around in elegant princess gowns, a VIP lounge offering prosecco and chocolate truffles, runway shows showcasing the latest dresses and suits, cakes to sample, I mean the list is endless it really is a wedding wonderland and for a few hours I felt like I was in the happiest, most magical place in a Disney princess land minus a Prince Charming!
It really is spectacularly put together by the Wedding Journal Show and Penton Publications, who very kindly collaborated with me to run a competition for my lovely readers to win tickets for the event and they invited me along as well.

Of course no wedding would be complete without a dream location for the reception, and whether you are looking for an intimate setting, extravagant or traditional, there where so many of the UK and Ireland’s finest hotels on hand showing off their stunning hotels and surroundings, whether it would be a lakeside resort, castle, countryside manor set in sprawling private gardens, there where so many choices whatever your tastes and you could be assured that they could make your day the most memorable. Rossharbour Resort is Fermanagh’s exclusive wedding venue. Situated on 6 acres of land on the shores of Lower Lough Erne, Rossharbour offers an exclusive and wonderful romantic wedding venue. With breathtaking views of the lake and countryside and private beach it provides a stunning backdrop for your wedding day.
The Ballymac is a modern hotel set in beautifully landscaped gardens in Lisburn offering a first-class banqueting service for your special day and they also have their Westbury Suite which is the perfect venue to hold a civil ceremony.
Nicole from the Glencarn Hotel in Castleblaney, Co Monaghan was showcasing what Glencarn can offer, with their perfect intimate venue set in beautiful gardens, Castle Suite and Oriel Suite ballroom this really is a perfect location and stunning backdrop for your special day.
Lisa & Natasha where there from the Crowne Plaza Hotel. This beautiful hotel has a parkland setting near the River Lagan just outside of Belfast and has recently went an extensive refurbishment offering the most luxurious bedrooms and wedding suites.
Laura & Orlagh from the Four Seasons Hotel, Monaghan which has been awarded the Best Wedding Venue in Monaghan.
The lovely Karen from Galgorm Resort & Spa, a stunning premier luxury hotel with a unique Thermal Village & Spa complete with riverside hot tubs, indoor and outdoor heated pools set in 163 acres of lush parkland and has the incredible River Maine flowing through the estate. Such a luxurious setting for your magical day!
Cathal from Corick House Hotel & Spa. The romantic setting of Corick House with it’s impressive walled entrance, spectacular views and exquisite decor is another beautiful elegant location for your wedding.
Jenny from the Culloden Estate & Spa which overlooks Belfast Lough and set in 12 acres of beautiful secluded landscaped gardens offering a romantic location to ‘Celebrate your Love Story’
Last but not least Keith from The Lodge Hotel, Coleraine. One of the top hotels on the Causeway Coast it really is a hidden gem with beautiful magical gardens, patio area and a Vine Conservatory and also their Rathlin Suite which can host wedding and civil ceremonies.
For that perfect dress I would say hands down the collections from Naomi Bridal Ballyclare, Creative Ideas Bridal, Gorgeous with Curves and The Bridal Company Northern Ireland by Lauren Elizabeth offered a variety of dresses any bride would be gushing over. They all had such high end fabrics, intricate beading and delicate lacework fit for a princess bride and the owners where just absolutely charming and very attentive you will be in very good hands. For all the grooms looking for your ideal wedding suit then look no further than Red Groomswear, Gowdys and The Bank Menswear who have the most incredible fine tailoring and fashionable wedding suits.
The Little Extras…..
To make your wedding so special and tailor made and one that your guests will never forget they will really appreciate the little personal touches and the wedding show did not disappoint with the sheer variety of vendors offering just that. From quaint little bars, selfie booths, wedding cakes, teepees to wedding favours, entertainment, vintage car hire to even a princess carriage the hardest part would be picking them. I just had to share some of my favourites.
