Nail polish it is kind of a thing again. With so many brands bringing out new products fit to rival the gel polish, it is of no surprise that there has been a huge surge in sales these past few months.
Everywhere you look, all the big brands are advertising their hottest new product, guaranteeing a slick application and no UV required. But you have to hand it to the good old gel polish, once it is cured you are good to go with no need to worry about smudges (the horrors) and it will last for around 2 weeks at a time. However if you are wanting to regularly change the colour of your nails it can be a pain in the ass having to constantly visit your nail technician more regularly, not to mention the cost involved. I for one have just been infilling my nails lately and using polishes again, and that’s when I decided to try Avon’s Nail Experts Liquid Freeze Quick Dry Nail Spray to speed up the drying time.
Usually I would just slap on some cuticle oil over my nails once they are painted (that is why you see so many nail pics looking all covered in oil) it really does stop the smudging and protects your manicure, but I was interested to try a spray, especially when I am looking for something quick in between colours when I am doing nail art.
The smell isn’t the greatest, its quite a strange chemical spray. I had hoped it would have a nice fragrance to it. The bottle itself does evenly apply a mist of the baby oil like substance over your nails and hands. This is unavoidable but you can wash this off or just rub into your skin to help moisturise after.
So with hands covered in this oily substance I was curious as to whether it would instantly dry my nails as stated. But it did!! I left them for about 60 seconds then touched the nail surface and they where dry. I had applied it on my toes too just before bed. The big test would be whether or not my polish would be all over the bed sheets the next morning. To my surprise and satisfaction my nails where perfect with not a smudge or mark on them.
This liquid freeze drying spray is a must for anyone who hasn’t much time to wait on their nails drying or just too impatient. I totally recommend this. It retails for £6 but Avon do run certain promotions at times where you may get it on offer, but even at £6 it is a product well worth it.
